Mystic Bungalow

This classic Maine cottage is the perfect getaway for a couple or small family. It's a rustic, cozy cottage at the end of the camp road. There is one bedroom with a new queen bed & a double bed. The bath has been updated with a new sink and vanity. Sit on the screen porch at night and enjoy the cooler weather or take a nap on a hot summer day! You're welcome to bring your dog, but due to insurance reasons, we don't allow pit bulls, rottweilers, German shepherds or dobermans.

  We had a very nice week stay at this cottage. It was a very cute little cottage and we thoroughly enjoyed watching ROKU TV at night. Angela the manager was very kind and even offered to come out and fix something for us if we needed her to. The only issues were, this is not a cottage for people with mobility issues. You have to park up above the cottage and walk very unsteady rocks down to the front door. My mom who came with me had a lot of issues getting up and down to our car. Also, the dock access would be very difficult for anyone with mobility issues as well.

  It is a lovely lake with clear water and few weeds. Our son enjoyed the fishing. The weather was beautiful with highs in the 70's in July.

  My husband and two young children stayed for a week in Salmon Lake Retreat. The screen porch was glorious! We even decided to sleep on the futon on the screen porch for the whole week. My husband and I had coffee out on the dock early each morning - it was lovely. The fishing off the dock was perfect for kids...lots of sunfish to catch and throw back. The best part of this camp was that there is a "No Wake" zone in front of the no loud boat noise AT ALL. There was just one bedroom but it had a single and queen bed. My husband and I had the best bedroom: the screen porch! Last, I embarrassed
  to say it, but my family really DID enjoy the internet and ROKU...we were still able to watch our favorite HBO and Netflix shows at night. There is a cabin very close on one side, but it was only occupied for a few days of our stay. There is a small fishing resort on the other side that was quiet except for Friday and Saturday night.

  charming little house and a beautiful lakefront experience. house and location is just as described with a large screened in wrap around porch.
  
  the lot is not quite as private as expected because it is right up against neighbors at the end of the road, but wooded enough to feel like you're on your own. we had a few maintenance issues during the week but they were handled quickly and professionally. the screen on the porch had enough holes that it was pretty buggy on the inside.
  
  but those were the only downsides. the house is perfect and lovely. it was a perfect size for a couple with no children. there were three kayaks and a canoe available which made for fun times on the water. the water right by the house was quite clean and perfect for swimming straight from shore. good location and a quick drive to a few different towns/villages and activities. plus (and this isn't in the ad) there is a neat electric organ which is just crazy fun to doodle around on. very recommended to young couples without a kid or with a very young kid.
