Hidden Cove Camp

Located on MCGRATH POND, this cottage affords the renter beautiful sunset views on a tranquil cove. This is the perfect getaway. This cozy cottage is nicely decorated with its knotty pine walls and camp furnishings. It has a fully equipped kitchen. One bedroom has a queen bed & the other has a set of bunkbeds and a twin bed. For the cool Maine evenings, there's a gas heater to keep you warm. This cottage has lots of amenities; cable TV & internet. Outside you can cookout on the gas grill and toast marshmallows on the firepit. You can swim & fish right from the dock. Take a tour of the lake on the canoe or kayaks that are provided. Come and enjoy Hidden Cove Camp. Make memories that last a lifetime! Two (2) small dogs allowed.

  The cottage was lovely, and newly renovated. My experience was great, a comfortable place to host a small barbecue for family. The sunsets were gorgeous. It was dog friendly and quiet in the cove. I liked the convenience to Waterville where my family lives. I would recommend anyone to stay.

  We (2 adults, 3 older teens and a dog) enjoyed this small but comfortable and protected cottage with close but quiet and very nice neighbors. Very good value! Kitchen was well-outfitted— we brought up a blender, large skillet, pizza pan and some good knives. Only negative was grill needed to be cleaned which we did before and after using. We also brought up our electric dog fence and was pleasantly surprised it was partially wired, making setup much quicker. We also brought up a portable DVD player which hooked right up to TV. Nice dock and good kayaks/canoe. Oakland 5 minutes away, Waterville 10 mins.

  We had a fabulous stay in this camp. It has been wonderfully renovated and is in a lovely peaceful spot. We enjoyed time in our kayaks, reading and listening to the loons. We had the companionship of three young ducks for most of the week as well as hummingbirds. We appreciated the bottled water that was in the fridge and the wood for the fire pit.

  This is my 2nd time staying in this cabin. The cabin is in a beautiful spot, & it's very peaceful. It's right on the waterfront, an inlet off of the main pond- McGrath Pond. It's a 5-10 min ride to Waterville, where you'll find grocery stores, restaurants, movies, bait shops, etc. You're also not far from many nice hiking trails.
  
  The cabin itself has plenty of places for people to sleep; a master bed, bunk room w/ extra bed, futon, & pull out couch. The bunks aren't the most comfy, but it wasn't a big deal. (just bring some xtra blankets to lay on) We loved using the kayaks, the fishing, having a campfire at night. The only issue I had was with the gas grill on the deck. It had not been cleaned prior to our arrival; when we started it to heat it up, all the grease inside caught fire. We ended up just cleaning it ourselves.
  
  Overall, I think Hidden Cove Camp is a great family vacation spot.

  This was a great location for our needs. I loved that we were in a cove and not right on the lake since we have a 2 1/2 yr old. The access to kayaks and paddle boat was great!   This was a great cabin. While I did have to work, the wi-fi availablility and fact that cell phones also worked well here, allowed my work to be less stressful. The locaiotn of the cabin is great, and I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for

  Overall, we found the property to be fantastic. The main drawback was the lack of a motorized boat to use. It was difficult to explore the lack and find good fishing spots due to the lack of a motorized boat. Additionally, the swimming area in the cove
  is poor. However, these two situations did not take away from our enjoyment of the property. It was quiet and very clean and we had a great trip. We will definitely be returning to Maine next year!

  The place was great, and although Mother Nature did not cooperate, we still had fun paddling, fishing and listening to the loons. One minor complaint...there was only one canoe paddle and it was child size. We ended up using the kayak paddles...somewhat awkward. Had we known, I would have brought our own.

  This is such a great place to stay with young kids! The cove is perfect for a beginner to learn how to kayak and my son caught his first fish right from the dock. The swimming area is sandy and shallow. The cabin is clean, comfortable and stocked with everything you'd need. We had a great time!
