Sandy Beach Cottage

The sandy beach is what this cottage is all about. It's the perfect place to relax. You can sit in a lawn chair and read while the kids play in the sand and splash around in the lake. Fish and swim right from the dock. In the evenings, enjoy the view of the lake from the screen porch.
This comfy 2 bedroom, 2 bath cottage is loaded with amenities, such as a dishwasher, cable tv, dvd player, gas grill, washer & dryer and airconditioning. On the main floor are the kitchen, dining area, living area, bath and master bedroom. Upstairs is a dorm bedroom with 4 twins and a bath. Great place for the kids to hang out!

  We can't say enough about our vacation on Sandy Beach. The water access is perfect for our grands, especially the sandy bottom that extends from the edge to the entire swimming area! Kayaking is wonderful and there is a beautiful breeze off the lake at night. The upstairs is a wonderful kid space for games and fun. The screened in porch is my favorite part of the camp. We hope to return here every summer.

  Sandy Beach was, for us, the perfect lake escape. The camp itself was compact and had all we needed. The upstairs was a wonderful second space where our grandkids had a place to call their own. The screened in porch couldn't have been more relaxing. The lake was incredible! Sandy bottoms as far as you could walk. I began most days out on the kayak followed by coffee on the bench at the end of the dock. We look forward to returning year, after year, after year!

  The owners should update their pictures because it's much nicer in person. The house has everything you need wifi TV AC (needed upstairs). For those that don't know the area, most of the shore is rocky, beach areas like this are hard to find. My only suggestions would be maybe a new mattress and add a screen door to the front. It would have been nice to get a better breeze going through the house on warmer days. Overall a great experience and we'll be back.

  The cabin is well appointed, very clean and beautifully decorated! We loved the Viking gas stove to cook on—what a luxurious treat! It was so nice to have kayaks and canoes and life jackets to use! The upstairs had plenty of room for kids to hang out! The washer/dryer was a godsend...next time we will pack half the clothes! Would like a bigger lobster pot to use for next year. But we made due with what was there. We would definitely stay again!

  We loved the cabin and all that it had to offer. The beds were comfortable, the space was clean, and the kitchen was well equipped for all our needs. We made use of the barbecue and the screened porch, and loved the easy access to the lake with our kayaks. The neighbors were very friendly and also had friendly dogs. I would not ordinarily care, but with a rainy week, we would have enjoyed using the DVD player for movies, but we could not get a CD to load into the machine. Also, we received no reception at all for TV channels. The wifi was a savior. The only other item on the wish list would be a washer and dryer. Overall, a great week in Maine!!

    It seems like the renter enjoyed the cottage, so I don't understand why she gave it only 1 star. I think she was confused about the rating system.

  It was great to wake up to the sound of osprey family circling overhead on the lookout for their breakfast. What a great location! Neighbors were very hospitable. Would suggest a screen door on front and curtains for upstairs area.
